Seedance 2.0 pricing: what one clip actually costs
Seedance 2.0 is billed by pixels, so there is no single price per video. Set the resolution, frame shape and length below and you get the exact credits one clip spends, and roughly what that is in dollars.
One clip
68 credits
About $3.40 at the $5-pack rate, $2.71 at the Starter rate

Five seconds, at every setting
Credits are what the generator charges. The two dollar columns convert them at what a credit costs you: $0.05 on a $5 pack, $0.0399 on the Starter plan. Annual plans bring a credit down to about $0.03.

Why the same five seconds has no single price
Seedance bills by pixel, not by second. At 720p, five seconds is 86 credits in a square frame, 152 at 16:9 and 199 at 21:9: the same duration and the same resolution label, because a wider frame simply holds more pixels.
That is why a headline price per second, or a monthly fee on its own, never answers the question you actually have, which is what the shot in front of you will cost. Here the exact credit cost of the render you configured is on screen before you submit it.
What each credit pack buys
Clips of five seconds at 16:9. A dash means the pack is too small for even one.
| Pack | Price | At 480p | At 720p |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100 credits | $5 | 1 | — |
| 260 credits | $12 | 3 | 1 |
| 550 credits | $25 | 8 | 3 |
Packs also let you download your videos. 4K, Seedance 2.5 and MiniMax H3 still need an active plan. Pack credits last 365 days. Plans start at $39.90 a month for 1,000 credits.
What a render includes
- Native audio at no extra cost.
- The exact credit cost on screen before you submit.
- An automatic refund when a job fails.
- A live preview while it renders, and a library of past clips.
Seedance 2.0 pricing questions
How much does a Seedance 2.0 video cost?
It depends on resolution, frame shape and length, because credits track pixels. A five-second 16:9 clip is 68 credits at 480p, 152 at 720p, 341 at 1080p and 778 at 4K. At about $0.04 to $0.05 per credit, that is roughly $2.71–$3.40 at 480p and $6.06–$7.60 at 720p.
What is the cheapest way to try it?
The $5 pack: 100 credits. On Seedance 2.0 Mini, the draft tier, that is 2 five-second 480p clips at 16:9 (34 credits each). On the standard tier it is one 16:9 clip (68 credits) or two square ones (38 credits each). Render drafts first and re-render only the keepers.
Do I pay if a render fails?
No. A job that fails refunds its credits automatically. The credits come back, but the wait does not.
Does native audio cost extra?
No. The price is identical whether audio is on or off.
Do credits expire?
Pack credits last 365 days. Subscription credits roll over for as long as the subscription runs.
Is it cheaper to call the API directly?
For high volume driven by code, going direct to a hosted provider can cost less, since it has no platform margin. What you pay for here is everything around the render: no keys or billing to set up, the cost shown before you submit, a live preview, a library of past clips and automatic refunds. If you need a handful of clips rather than thousands, that trade is usually fine.
Is Seedance 2.0 free?
Not free: every render spends credits. It is open to any signed-in account without a subscription, though 4K needs one. The one free render a new account gets runs on MiniMax H3 Max Turbo at 768p, not on Seedance.
Credit counts come from the same price table the generator uses, so they match the button next to the prompt. Dollar figures are approximate and move if plans or packs change. Checked October 4, 2026.
