Seedance 2.5 video generator

Seedance 2.5 is ByteDance's long-form model. It renders up to thirty seconds in a single take — twice the ceiling of Seedance 2.0 — and accepts up to thirty reference images that you address directly in the prompt. The trade is resolution: it stops at 720p, and it costs more per second than 2.0. Native audio is included, on by default.

Describe the shot: subject, action, camera move, light. Two or three sentences beat one long list of keywords.

Native audio

Sound effects, ambience and lip-synced speech, generated from the same prompt. Costs the same either way.

Every clip below was rendered here, on the settings shown under it. The caption is the exact prompt that produced it.

A neon-lit ramen counter at night: steam rises off a fresh bowl as the chef slides it across the wood, reflections shifting in the window behind. Slow lateral dolly, shallow depth of field, cool blues against warm lamp light.

The cat lifts its head, ears turning toward the window, then settles back into the sunbeam as the curtain stirs. Slow push-in, dust drifting through the light.

The mug from @Image1 and the paper crane from @Image2 share a wooden desk beside a window; steam curls off the mug while the crane trembles in the draft. Slow dolly right, warm afternoon light, shallow focus.

Running Seedance 2.5 here

  1. Draft at 480p

About 103 credits for a five-second 16:9 clip, or 58 in square. Settle the prompt where a mistake is cheap, before you commit to a long take.

  2. Load your references

Reference to video takes up to thirty images. Point at them in the prompt as @Image1, @Image2 and so on, and the model holds those subjects consistent through the shot.

  3. Go long

Four to thirty seconds in a single render, with no cut. Thirty seconds at 720p 16:9 runs about 1,387 credits — cost scales with duration, so check the price before you submit.

What Seedance 2.5 is good at

Long single takes. Thirty seconds without a cut is the reason to pick this over Seedance 2.0.

Heavy reference work. Thirty images, each addressable in the prompt, holds a cast or a product line together.

Audio across the whole take. A thirty-second clip comes back scored, not silent.

Aspect ratio still drives cost. The same five seconds at 720p is 131 credits in square and 304 at 21:9.
